This is overview of blocks. There are stacks which is 3 stacks from right is 1st block, 3 stacks at center is 2nd block, and last 3 stacks far away in picture is the 3rd block. The stack is attached with HRSG or Heat Recovery Steam Generator. The building below is the BSDG or Black Start Diesel Generator using as support produced 5MW only.
This is ST or Steam Turbine unit. The most left is the HP or High Pressure steam turbine. The center compartment (attach with big pipe) is the LP or Low Pressure steam turbine. The most right (written SEV) is the generator to produce electricity.
This is the Gas Turbine unit. The left in the picture (allign like fish bone) is the VIGV or Variable Inlet Guide Vane, function as gate to control amount of air enter the compressor. The center (white in colour) is the 21th stages compressor. After that to the right (full with pipes) is the combustor where combustion process happen. The most right is the 5th stages gas turbine.
This is one of the cooling fan out of ten colling fan at the top of cooling tower.

Greeting
My industrial training (IT) start on 4th April 2011 till 24th June 2011 at Lumut Power Plant, Lumut Perak. Technically, Lumut Power Plant (LPP) is largest Combined Cycle Power Plant that running on fuel oil/gas. It has 3 blocks which is each of block consist 3 unit of Gas Turbine (GT) , 3 unit of Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), 1 unit of Steam Turbine (ST), and 1 unit of condenser. In this LPP, the boiler is prefer to call with HRSG because there is no fire to heat up the water become steam. The combustion only occur in combustion chamber in GT called combustor. If fuel coal power plant, than we use boiler. For Block, an example Block 1, the Gas Turbine has number, GT11, GT12, and GT13. But for Steam Turbine is ST14. Same as HRSG or Heat Recovery Steam Generator, HRSG11, HRSG12, and HRSG13. Block 2 is same, GT21, GT22, GT23, ST24, HRSG21, HRSG22, and HRSG23. Block 3 is GT31, GT32, GT33, ST34, HRSG31, HRSG32, and HRSG33.
My luck is good as I'm involve in Major Inspection or C-Inspection for GT32 starting 14th May 2011 for a month. I'll be story more on that later.
